RRFF is Accepting Applications for the Annual Summer Teacher Workshop
Summer Teacher Workshop: July 13 - 15, 2016 - Now accepting applications!
This summer, from Wednesday, July 13 to Friday, July 15, Steven Van Zandt's Rock and Roll Forever Foundation will hold a free three-day Teacher Workshop in New York City, centered on the Rock and Roll: An American Story (RRAS) education project.
Geared toward middle and high school teachers who have already used the RRAS curriculum in their classrooms, this workshop will feature guest presentations and group discussions, as well as explore participants' experiences with RRAS materials. A small group of educators will be invited to attend.
To Apply:Applications must be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org and contain the following:
- Teacher's name and contact information (e-mail address, phone number, and mailing address)
- School affiliation and location, subject areas and grade levels taught
- A description of no more than three paragraphs indicating which RRAS lessons you have used and in what context. Also provide a brief analysis of the results.
- If you have not yet used our materials but are planning to do so in the coming school year, provide an explanation of no more than three paragraphs of which lessons you plan to incorporate and how they fit into your existing class model.
Applications are due by 11:59pm EDT on Friday, April 22, 2016.
Those who are selected will be notified on or around April 29. There is no registration fee, and participants will receive a free continental breakfast and lunch each day. Accommodations and travel are not provided.
